The first ever action sports strap campaign also boasts partnerships with Osiris and Grind for Life
November 16, 2009 (Phoenix) – SLINGZ, the hands-free action sports strap for skateboards, Ripstiks® and other action sports , has launched their DRTV commercial in partnership with As Seen On TV, featuring music by Lo-Star. Doing what the kickstand did for the bike, SLINGZ is the perfect compliment for skaters on the go by providing a hands-free way to carry your board when not skating.
For this campaign, heavy hitters surround SLINGZ with the likes of Mike Rogers, Founder of The Grind for Life Foundation which assists people with cancer , long-time skater Chris Conway, a member of the Board of Directors for Grind for Life, Buddy Carr of Tailtap.com and Osiris who offers a $15 off coupon towards their shoes.
“It’s off the Hook!” said Rogers during the making of the SLINGZ DRTV commercial.
“I’m very impressed with the simplicity and function the SLINGZ products represent,” said Conway last week. “SLINGZ is simple to use and very helpful in those situations when you need to carry your board and have your hands free.”
“SLINGZ is the simple and smart solution to being hands free when you need to be,” said Carr of tailtap.com. Carr is offering a $15 off coupon toward their merchandise.
“We’re excited to be part of the SLINGZ campaign and help Grind For Life,” expressed Tony Magnusson, Founder of Osiris Shoes.
As if the support from industry celebrities weren’t enough, the up and coming British band, Lo-Star, is featured in the commercial with their single “Falling Short.” The commercial itself is one of the first national plays for the band, whose CD will launch in the beginning of 2010. SLINGZ will be offering Lo-Star song downloads on the www.slingzstore.com web site.
“We are proud to be associated with SLINGZ and their uniquely innovative product. We hope SLINGZ users enjoy the free download at SLINGZStore.com and want to find out more about Lo-Star,” said lead singer, Adam Harris.
The DRTV spot can be seen on ESPN, MTV and FUEL TV starting Monday November 16, 2009. For more information visit www.slingznow.com
